Why do Brits love a car boot sale so much?

For many years people all over the country have been getting up at the crack of dawn, dragging their partners, friends and family down to their local car boot sale. Sacrificing a weekend lie in can seem awful but for some reason we love it, but why do we love a boot sale so much?

The simple answer is we all love a bargain! Whether it is a bag of clothes, children’s collectable toys, make-up, ornaments, home and garden furniture. There is something for all the family!

Buyers love rolling out of bed on a Saturday or Sunday morning, throwing on whatever clothes they can find and dragging the whole family down to the car boot. They then search aisle after aisle after aisle, and often multiple times, to find the best bargains of the day and also those hidden gems. And they often do!

The day is made even better with the burger van or cafe serving classic boot sale bacon sarnies and burgers, another thing the British public love. There is quite often an amusement for the kids too; a bouncy castle or an inflatable slide. It really is a day for all the family.

This is a typical day for buyers at out Big Boot and A6 boot sales, it’s a place for all the family that allows you to go home with a car full of bargains and treasures. We are set for clear skies all weekend so if you fancy picking up a bargain this weekend we have our Big Boot sale in Morecambe on Saturday and our A6 boot sale on Sunday.

And don’t forget to bring all the family!
